Location

Starts at University Boulevard & Lehigh Road

Glassboro, NJ, 08028

Monday, May 30: 10 am – 12 pm

Glassboro Memorial Day Parade Committee would like to invite you to participate in our annual parade honoring our fallen. This event dates back over 100 years and is steeped in tradition and pride. Each year we strive to provide an experience that brings the community together to honor our war heroes.

Our parade includes veterans and military groups, bands, antique vehicles, youth sports organizations, fire trucks, and more. However, we have been lacking one key element- FLOATS!  Floats are traditionally constructed to depict a patriotic display of heartfelt honor and pride for those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We hope that you will join us in this fine tradition by entering a float in the Glassboro Memorial Day Parade.

There is no fee to participate in the parade, but you must register your walking group, vehicle, float, etc.

Parade Route: Begin at University Boulevard & Lehigh Road, onto Whitney Avenue, onto High Street ending at Glassboro Fire Department. Solemn Ceremony will be held at Town Square Veterans Memorial Plaza

Visit the Battleship NJ!

Battleship Nj
Battleship Nj

Anchored along the New Jersey-side of the Delaware River just across from Philadelphia, the Battleship New Jersey is a must-see attractions while in the area. Military history enthusiasts will put this at the top of their list of places to visit in New Jersey and places to visit in Philadelphia. However, the tours of the Battleship New Jersey are interactive, so guests of all ages and interests will equally enjoy themselves as they navigate the decks of the Battleship. You will be going up and down on ladders, stepping through passageways and sometimes maneuvering in tight spaces – just like the officers and the crew of the USS New Jersey did. We’re among the best tourism-related things to do in Philadelphia and for good reason – coming aboard a real battleship and experiencing history can leave a lasting impact.
